Over the past 3 months in particular, the energy market has been temperamental and seen prices fluctuate due to the conflict in Israel and Gaza, and more recently the war between Israel and Iran. Please note, energy prices have got no where near the levels of 2022, when the Ukraine/Russia war started, but things can change quickly based on our experience (such as if key shipping routes are blocked, for example). The energy price cap (for domestic users) has fallen from 1st July 2025 (by 7% to the previous period), but please contact us and we will determine if we can make savings in this area.
UK energy costs are amongst the highest in the developed world, with costs now 46% higher than the global average (Source: Energy in Buildings & Industry Magazine, June 2025). We would also check historical costs as part of our review, and ensure that you’re on competitive arrangements, and can advise on the markets and best approach for your business. The Government has recently announced plans to lower energy costs for businesses over the next 10 years, by exempting them from some green energy levies, but this seems to be reserved for high energy intensive industries (at present).
